Now that our users can register for the site we need a means for them to login to the site. Using very simple PHP, we will access functions in our Functions file and utilize them to verify if a user is currently logged in or supplies invalid credentials. Since the Functions file does most of the legwork, we just need a simple statements to call and verify information then display to the user whether they are now authenticated or not.

Since the user can now login after registering, let’s finally show them a custom index page that welcomes them.
